We’re passionate about the transportation industry and sharing best practices across modes.

Josiah Roberts, PE

President

Looking ahead, we are proud to welcome our new president, Josiah Roberts, who will lead the ASHE Phoenix Sonoran Section into the 2026–27 year. Josiah brings more than 30 years of private-sector transportation consulting experience, with much of his career focused on delivering projects for the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT). His extensive industry experience and long-standing involvement in Arizona’s transportation community provide valuable perspective as ASHE continues to expand its reach and impact. Building on the momentum of past leadership, Josiah’s priorities for the coming year include growing membership, expanding sponsorship opportunities, and raising awareness of ASHE through the newly created Social Media Committee. He also hopes to identify new opportunities to increase the Section’s annual scholarship awards and further support the next generation of transportation professionals. With a focus on growth, engagement, and giving back to the profession, Josiah looks forward to working with the Board and membership to build on the Section’s success in the year ahead.

Randy Everett

Immediate Past President

As we welcome our new board, we also want to extend our sincere gratitude to Randy Everett, our Immediate Past President, for his dedicated leadership during the 2025–26 year. Under Randy’s guidance, the section continued to build on past successes while also pursuing new opportunities for growth. His vision to expand membership including a new social media committee, increase agency participation, and reinitiate our sponsorship program Randy moved our organization forward for our regions’ transportation professionals. Throughout his presidency, the section enjoyed a year of impactful programs, strengthened connections with industry partners, and an emphasis on member involvement and professional development. Randy’s leadership, energy, and commitment have left a lasting mark on our section, and we are truly thankful for his service.
